Direct Answer
Section titled “Direct Answer”RICH requires the total-revenue stat to reach 1T. The official Steam achievement text is Reach $1.000.000.000.000 ($1,000,000,000,000), and current player-tested evidence maps this to TOTAL REVENUE GENERATED rather than merely current wallet balance. A tested community method uses Anomaly Gambling Crates plus a multi-Orbit-Tool batch release: the published tested setup used many Anomaly Gambling Crates held in Orbit Tools and then sold as a large batch. The published test used 10 Orbit Tools; treat 10 as the tested setup, not a proven minimum. Exact crate/anomaly count remains UNKNOWN.
What RICH Tracks
Section titled “What RICH Tracks”- Official Steam Global Achievements: RICH! — Reach
$1.000.000.000.000/$1,000,000,000,000. - Community verification (Rosie’s 100% Steam guide and player tests) maps that Steam condition to
TOTAL REVENUE GENERATED. In short: RICH requires the total-revenue stat to reach 1T, not that your current wallet alone equals 1T. - Observed global unlock rate in the scan was ~3.7% (contextual, optional).
Tested Anomaly Crate + Orbit Tool Method
Section titled “Tested Anomaly Crate + Orbit Tool Method”- Summary: A published tested late-game route used Anomaly Gambling Crates combined with multiple Orbit Tools to stage a single very large sale. This is described as a tested setup (not a guaranteed minimum or the only way).
- Tested setup details reported by the author:
- Use the same Orbit Tool layout they used for their late-game x300 Combo strategy.
- Approximately 10 Orbit Tools were placed around the Maw and tied to one Remote—this is the published tested layout, not a proven requirement.
- Acquire many Anomalies from Anomaly Gambling Crates and store/hold them in the Orbit Tools. See Anomaly for anomaly mechanics.
- Release/sell the large batch at once. The author reported the big simultaneous sale produced roughly an x300–x350 combo and that completing one or two such large sells after already having about one-third of the target got them to RICH in that run.
- Important boundaries: the author explicitly stated they do not know the exact minimum number of crates/anomalies required. Treat the published layout as a tested setup rather than a guaranteed recipe.
Why Ordinary Early Production Is Slow
Section titled “Why Ordinary Early Production Is Slow”- Normal production pipelines and incremental sales take a long time to accumulate
TOTAL REVENUE GENERATEDto 1T because RICH counts lifetime revenue rather than instantaneous cash. Early-game income sources scale slowly relative to late-game anomaly-batch sales. - Multiple community reports indicate that once Anomaly Gambling Crates become available, money generation potential can jump dramatically compared with ordinary production—supporting the thesis that gambling-crate anomalies are a late-game money source, not that they are the unique or compulsory path.
Exact Crate Count Is Unknown
Section titled “Exact Crate Count Is Unknown”- The exact number of Anomaly Gambling Crates or anomalies required to reach 1T is unknown. The published test used many crates combined with the 10-Orbit-Tool layout, but the author did not confirm a minimum crate/anomaly count. Do not assume a fixed crate number will always guarantee RICH.
Avoid Accidentally Advancing Normal Ending
Section titled “Avoid Accidentally Advancing Normal Ending”- Crafted Cauldron Anomalies contribute to normal ending progression; the published tested run deliberately used Gambling-Crate Anomalies to avoid advancing that route. If you want to avoid normal-ending progress while farming money, prefer Gambling Crates in that reported setup. See Secret Ending for ending considerations.
Is RICH current wallet balance or total revenue?
Section titled “Is RICH current wallet balance or total revenue?”RICH tracks TOTAL REVENUE GENERATED (lifetime revenue) to reach $1,000,000,000,000. It is not proven that your current wallet must equal 1T; community verification maps the achievement to the total-revenue stat.
Are 10 Orbit Tools required?
Section titled “Are 10 Orbit Tools required?”No — the published tested setup used 10 Orbit Tools placed around the Maw and tied to one Remote, but that 10-tool layout should be treated as the tested setup only, not a mandatory or proven minimum.
How many Anomaly Gambling Crates do I need?
Section titled “How many Anomaly Gambling Crates do I need?”The exact crate/anomaly count is UNKNOWN. The published test used many crates, but the author explicitly did not know the minimum required to reach 1T. Do not rely on an exact guaranteed crate count.
Is this the fastest / only method?
Section titled “Is this the fastest / only method?”No. The published method is a tested late-game route, not a claimed unique or fastest route. Other strategies may work; this setup is one community-tested option. See also FAST! Achievement for other achievement-related pacing strategies.
Do Cauldron Anomalies and Gambling-Crate Anomalies differ for ending progression?
Section titled “Do Cauldron Anomalies and Gambling-Crate Anomalies differ for ending progression?”Yes. Crafted Cauldron Anomalies contribute to normal ending progression; the published tested run used Gambling-Crate Anomalies to avoid advancing the normal ending. See Secret Ending for how endings interact with anomaly choices.
Should I finish RICH before ending progression?
Section titled “Should I finish RICH before ending progression?”That depends on your goals. If you want to avoid normal ending progression while farming revenue, the tested setup used Gambling-Crate Anomalies for that reason. If you want to pursue endings first, be aware crafted anomalies can affect progress. Use the method that matches your play goals.
